Taft Avenue encircles a large portion of Manila, but it simply doesn’t have sufficient gyms in it.
I have been about Taft for almost five years now and I will guarantee that the gyms accessible you will find, regrettably, either too pricey or not correctly preserved. Fortunately, a new fitness center in Taft just opened last November 7, 2017, and it may very well be the go-to gym for the region residents. Welcome to Alpha Fitness Club.
Alpha Fitness Club is run by a group of enthusiastic and driven people who are both knowledgeable and respectable in the industry of fitness. They wished to create an area for like-minded men and women, which led them to open an 3-in-1 studio focusing on MMA, Boxing, and Fitness Center. It’s located below Quirino Station beside McDonald’s (very handy and easy to find).
We recently tried Alpha Fitness Club, and exactly what we loved about it was how complete the fitness center was for its price. They have two boxing rings, numerous punching bags, and sufficient gym gear for lifting weights for the cost of Php100 for walk-ins without trainers! That’s good enough because you get access to every one of these facilities.
The owners said that cleanliness is a priority to these, so that is also a big plus if you’re searching for a well-kept health club with shower areas.

The walk-in rate is definitely cheap, but that is more for those who understand what they’re doing. If you are still needing a trainer to guide you (such as me), the rate will fluctuate based upon the workout you are going for and whether you are a part or not. (The annual membership fee is Php1,200.) Here are the solutions they have:
In boxing, the speed is everything; you have to think fast and act faster. This is a good sort of cardio since you’ll be training to create your mind to be as fast and precise as possible. With respectable trainers (you need to see them dribble the pace bag!) , you’ll be leaving the health club with sore arms and, even more to the point, a toned body.
If you do not have any gear, they have wraps and gloves for lease at Php50. Rest assured, the gear for lease there’s clean and doesn’t smell bad at all. We still recommend to purchase your own, though, which means that you won’t need to devote extra bucks every time you see Alpha Fitness Club. (Member: Php300 / Non-Member: Php250)
I tried his own Muay Thai session and it was really exhausting (in a fantastic way). They handed an adequate quantity of time clubbed together with the trainers and perfecting your forms throughout the punching bag exercises. The extra 50 pesos out of boxing will be unquestionably well worth it as your whole body is going to be challenged to maneuver; you’ll be throwing moves and performing alternative kicks, which can be more difficult than it sounds, especially if your endurance is reduced.
If you would like to boost your stamina and lose weight fast, try Muay Thai. Don’t be intimidated because the trainers will gladly teach you the basics at a slow pace until you purchase them. (Member: Php350 / Non-Member: Php300)
The gym is located from the boxing rings. They’ve weights, barbells, and the like if you would like to lift after your workout. The gear is mostly for muscle-building, but they also have an exercise bike for your cardio routines.
The walk-in rate only prices Php100 and comprises the gym region and the punching bags. (Monthly: Php1,200 / Walk-In: Php100 / Personal Coach: Php400)
Alpha Fitness Club also has packages for those who visit the studio a lot. They possess the Rookie Bundle (Php700) good for 3 sessions, the Amateur Pack (Php2,800) for 12 sessions, and the Guru Bundle (Php3,800) for 30 sessions. This is something that you may want to check into in case you anticipate exercising consistently. Not only will you save money this manner; you will also be motivated to consume the sessions that you paid for!
What are you waiting for? Achieve those #BodyGoals and welcome 2018 using a bang(ing body)!
